Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams, Please Make Babies Already!
It's a two-step plan: Meet her in the rain. Then tell her, 'It wasn't over. It still isn't over!'
Despite a week of rumors that her relationship with Ryan Gosling is on the rocks, Eva Mendes' rep insists, "The whole story is completely false." In response to that totally believable denial, we have two words: Sure, sure.
As you could imagine, nursing a broken heart after splitting with RyRy is not going to be a walk in the park. We're probably talking about needing a lifetime supply of Ben & Jerry's stat. So, Eva, we're sorry for your heartache, but Ryan isn't your soul mate. He obviously belongs with Rachel McAdams.
It's been close to seven years since The Notebook lovers split in 2007, and they've both dated a handful of other A-Listers since then. Look, Rachel and Ryan, we don't blame you for seeing what other fishies are in the sea. The time apart gave you a chance for self-discovery and all that mumbo-jumbo. Time has passed. It's time your two souls became one again. You're older and more mature now. Or something like that.
In past interviews, Ryan's called Rach "one of the great loves" of his life. He's even said their relationship was "a hell of a lot more romantic" than The Notebook. Prove it, Gosling.
Do you know what makes their story seem even more like it's meant to be? The fact that these two lovebirds didn't even get along while filming the most romantic movie ever made! Reports said that Ryan thought Rach was so "uncooperative" that he had a difficult time looking her in the face during scenes. Ouch. "We inspired the worst in each other," Ryan said. "It was a strange experience, making a love story and not getting along with your costar in any way." Awkward, right? Rachel added to that, saying, "We weren't throwing Ming vases at each other, so it wasn't loathing, but our relationship was not what you saw on the screen. I would say that we were both, well, professional."
The Notebook was released in 2004. And by 2005, Rachel and Ryan were madly in love, sharing the spotlight on numerous red carpets, and being so adorable while enjoying coffee dates and dog walks together. C'mon, Ryan, pull a Noah and passionately confess, "It wasn't over. It still isn't over!" Our entire belief in true love depends upon it.
