Meet Rooney Mara's Boyfriend: Charlie McDowell

Rooney Mara may be best known for playing Lisbeth Salander, the sexually ambiguous title character in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but off-screen, the 26-year-old actress' love life is a lot more low-key.

According to People, Rooney's boyfriend is Charlie McDowell. "Who?" you may ask.

Well, although he's not famous himself, 28-year-old, ginger-haired Charlie comes from quite an impressive Hollywood family. His father is Malcom McDowell, the British actor who starred in the classic movie, The Clockwork Orange, and who more recently played Jeremy Piven's boss on Entourage. With all of that talent in the family, you'd think Charlie would have some acting ambitions too, but reportedly he is more comfortable behind the scenes and has worked as a television production assistant, in addition to writing and directing his own short film.
